Lancashire Artist of the Year 2024
From over 200 entries, I was thrilled to learn that my painting
“Winter Snow, Noon Hill, Anglezarke”
was selected by public vote as a prize-winning finalist in this competition. The twelve winning paintings have been published in a charity calendar by Lancashire County Council with mine illustrating the month of February.
Presentation of awards was recently held at Lancashire County Archives in Preston, where we each received a certificate, an art materials voucher, and copies of the 2025 calendar.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the judges who made the initial selection and to everyone who took the time to vote for my painting. It was very much appreciated.
The calendar is a splendid way of showing original artwork to a wider public as well as raising money for charity. They will be available to purchase soon from most Town Halls, public libraries and Lancashire County Council buildings throughout Lancashire.
