'Moorland - Fading Light'. Ink on paper original painting by Gerry Halpin.

Moorland Series

This fantastic landscape of moors, woodland, old tracks and much history became my outdoor studio, a source of new images and new ways of expressing what was to be seen.

Shoreline Series

My inspiration to draw and paint from the coast comes from walking along the beach and looking into rock pools, exploring collections of things strewn about, some clearly visible whilst others part hidden.

'Dusk, Lakeland', Gerry Halpin.

Lockdown Series

“For artistic inspiration in the face of difficult times and challenges, I found myself exploring once again, almost from where my art first began, the West Pennine Moors. This fantastic landscape of moors, woodland, old tracks and much history became my outdoor studio, a source of new images and new ways of expressing what was to be seen.”

Abstract Art

My abstract art is usually non-representational or non-objective, meaning that it does not depict recognizable objects or scenes. It relies on my imagination, emotions, and creativity to express the ideas and feelings from the object or scene that sparks my inspirational juices.
